How to restick your cutting mat/ Cuidado plancha de corte

Hi! today I bring a some tips and trick to make your cutting mat last much longer! Mine have 3 years old and still works like new!

This is what you will need to restick it:
The supplies are: Adhesive Spray ( I bought it in the supermarket, I guess any craft store will have it too), polish remover, baby wipes, paper tape and a spatula to scrape
(we are using baby wipes because if you use paper towel will stick everywhere and create a huge mess!) So the with damp the wipe in the polish remover and pass it through the mat
The polish remover what it does is soften the old adhesive, and makes much easier to remove it with the spatula. But you have to be patience! What I did is leave the wipe extended in a part while I remove the adhesive in other:
Y finalmente les debería quedar algo así!:
And finally your mat will look something like this!:
Super clean but without adhesive, so with add the paper tape to protect the borders and then spray the adhesive two or three time
You spray it wait a few minutes, see if you need more and spray it again. If the mat stick in your hand for a few seconds it means is perfect!
And here my crafty tip!: always ALWAYS keep your mat with a plastic, so you prevent the dust from sticking in it

  3. I've never understood why people buy new mats, since it is so much easier to restick the one you own. Or buy plastic for 10 dollars, big enough for making at least six mats, no joke. Anyways, I've never thought about using polish remover.

Need to e-mail you soon. I'm going to spend a week in Buenos Aires in Novemeber....

    1. Exactly! The polish remover you used when in really dirty is not necessary all the time though. Yes, email me if you have any question (:

      Beso!

  9. I had heard that the spray adhesive can be detrimental to your cricut. Do you know if there is any truth/possibility of it causing problems?

  10. I use Martha's Stewart, glue pen wide.I also soak my mat with dish soap for easier removal. It works wonders on my mats.
